Documents of Critical Thought

Archival Heritage of Socialist Yugoslavia

The Praxis Archive collects, edits, and makes accessible archival materials and documents from the intellectual history of socialist Yugoslavia. The goal is for these documents to serve not as monuments, but as sources for a critical, contextual, and documented understanding of the social and political processes of the second half of the 20th century.

Funds and Collections

The Archive is built around two major sections: the Institute’s institutional records and broader material on the intellectual history of socialist Yugoslavia, with a focus on the group of authors and networks gathered around the Praxis philosophical group.

Do you have documents that belong to this history?

The archive is being built openly and gradually. We invite rights holders, authors' families, and researchers to contact us regarding donating, depositing, or lending materials for digitization. Each new fund is processed in accordance with professional archival and ethical standards.

We are particularly interested in materials related to the Praxis circle, the Korčula Summer School, and the critical traditions of Yugoslav socialism.
